At Starz Dance Centre, every student is a STAR no matter what level of dance he/she chooses! Students are taught rhythm, coordination, and technique through music. CLASS PLACEMENT is based on the motto of STARZ: Style, Technique, Attitude, Respect, and ZaZam. This means the matching of body types, the level of the individual dancer, the years of experience, the performance level, and the ability to accept constructive criticism. We truly believe that a child's dancing growth and development are unique to that specific child. Each child will be placed according to her own dance ABILITIES, not by where she was last year, whose classes she was in, or by age. We work very hard to place each dancer in the classes that will be best suited for her as well as to challenge, but not overwhelm and discourage her in the process. Please trust us to place your dancer where we believe she will find the star in her and where she will dance to her own potential. Here at Starz we believe dance allows students to learn many skills that they will use in their everyday lives. Dancers learn discipline, social skills, flexibility, commitment, the ability to keep organized, the strongknowledge of memorization, the talent to manage schedules, and the power to cooperate and work as a team player.
